Hells Bay Boatworks
My 17'.8" Hell's Bay, Professional, is what I use for everything that involves the use of a pushpole in shallow water sight fishing situations. In relation to my previous Hell's Bay, Whipray, it is just as shallow, faster and rides much better due to the additional length. It's not quite as easy to pole, but still about as easy as any of its competition.
Maverick Mirage HPX
New this year, 18.4 Maverick Mirage, powered my 150 hp Yamaha. I decided that tarpon fishing these days requires me to be able to run faster for a longer distance. Being in the backcountry early will still let me access the ocean in a pretty brief amount of time when conditions change and a move is necessary. Also, this boat is trolling motor equipped when need be and can carry 3 people when needed. I do a lot of winter channel fishing and bridge fishing for tarpon in this boat.
